Double Trouble was a cut-rate sire until his offspring started winning a lot and his ranking moved to #40 on the General Sire List. Much of his increase in price and demand can be laid off on this gelding. He has now produced four $100.000+ earners, including graded stakes winning turf specialist Double The Power. In his racing career, cut short for breeding duties, won three of five starts, all turf sprints at MNR. Dam Pasaje de Vieques won five, all turf routes. It seems what they should have gotten with this match-up was a versatile turf horse. What they got was Odelay, a dirt loving graded stakes winner.

The sire Fancy Dancer had a somewhat less than illustrious career, winning one race and .800. The success of lightly raced Penal Colony has spurred renewed interest in the stallion and perhaps now we can find out of what he is made. The dam Frigid B is just about as much a mystery as she also won only one race and has a limited career as a broodmare. In fact, the big mystery is how the son of a $1.000 sire and a $1.000 mare came to be good enough to show up in the TC races.

Set Sail Sinbad is sired by the now-deceased Sinbads Power, which sired 13 winners, including SW Tropic Lightning, and is 97 on the General Sire List. His first crop produced four $100.000 earners while the remaining crops have yet to develop. Most of his successful offspring are relatively versatile, winning on both dirt and grass. The dam Look Out was unsuccessful as a race horse and has only this offspring as a winner in her brief career as a broodmare.

Dance Baby

Br: Neddynewnops UK (Cal)

Martial Art had a useful career as a racehorse winning five races and earning $146.900. He tried a couple of stakes races, but found them a bit difficult. He spent his time running in sprints, regardless of surface. His career as a stallion seems promising enough with two Jan 07-bred winners all ready. He also produced SP sprinter Art Galaxy, which has earnings in excess of $100.000. Perhaps it is the pairing with distance-loving Dance Baby that allows Oriental Baby to be a stakes winner at 1 1/8 mile.
