Eastlands (Lazy J Stables) was a bit slow off the gate but was soon urged forward, taking control of the lead and crossing over to the rail as they hit the quarter mile pole. He maintained a solid lead down the backstretch and around the corner but had to dig in down the lane as the back pack tightened up. With Spanish Vodka flying down the outside of the track, Eastlands managed to fend that one off and keep a short neck advantage as they crossed the finish line.
PHA 2 -- 5 Furlongs Dirt Claiming Purse $40.250 Open 4 Year Olds And Up.
Silly Grin (Jmg Racing) got a good jump from the box and was settled on the rail as they approached the corner. With Off The Sheet showing the way by less than a length on the outside, Silly Grin edged up and took control of the lead as they straightened up for home. He pulled away from this one down the lane and managed to fend off a hard charging Pretty Boy Swag, crossing the wire a neck up in a sizzling 56.99.
PHA 3 -- 5 1/2 Furlongs Dirt Allowance Purse $55.000 Filly & Mare 4 Year Olds And Up.
Lady O Faith (Boomtown) was out mid pack and on the move as the leader entered the turn. The Man O Steel sired filly was soon in control of the race and cruised down the lane for her fifth win in sixteen lifetime starts, bumping her total earnings to $174.630.
PHA 4 -- 5 Furlongs Turf Allowance Purse $54.050 Open 3 Year Olds.
Resteao (The Fox) was forced to push onwards early or face the consequences of going into the turn in the middle of the track. He surged up and managed to get over near the rail as they hit the apex of the turn. Reaching the half in a lightning quick 44.1, he put away the inside challenge of Desert Twurk and was soon on the way to his second win in three lifetime tries, stopping the clock in 56.45.
