PHA Saturday February 18th

PHA 1 -- 1 Mile Turf Maiden Special Weight Purse $45.000 Filly 3 Year Olds Foaled In PA.

The Ghost (Threshold) was pressed out to the lead and had control of the pace as they moved towards the first turn. Despite the wide trip around the track, she was able to maintain control and once around the final turn she accelerated away from her rivals to win her maiden score in a convincing fashion.

PHA 2 -- 5 1/2 Furlongs Dirt Claiming Purse $35.000 Filly & Mare 4 Year Olds And Up.

Ma Town (Triple K) and Holy Lady (Dynark Stables) shared winning honors in the second race maiden claiming event. Both fillies left the gate well and were out top three along with Green Is Good who showed a slight in the early goings. Holy Lady took control once off the turn and was showing a half length lead over Ma Town with a furlong to go. Ma Town managed to edge up in the final half furlong and crossed the wire in unison with Holy Lady.

PHA 3 -- 1 Mile Dirt Claiming Purse $25.000 Open 4 Year Olds And Up.

Reflection Of Mine (Pjr Farms) settled back to third early on as Paradise Creek blasted out to a huge early lead by the quarter pole.  The longshot leader kept up the pace down the backstretch, leaving Reflection Of Mine over four lengths off as they moved into the final turn. Reflection Of Mine moved off the rail and started to close up the ground, moving sharply down the center of the track and taking control of the lead with three tenths of a furlong to for his first win since October 2010.

PHA 4 -- 5 Furlongs Turf Claiming Purse $31.000 Filly 3 Year Olds.

Bellamy Star (Simmer Down Stable) was backed out the early speed duel and settled into fourth as a pack of three fillies gapped out on the front. She was briefly moved to the outside on the turn but then brought back in as her jockey saw a hole opening up to run through. She plunged through the hole and quickly caught up to the leader and passed by, taking the win by a solid length.

PHA 5 -- 5 Furlongs Turf Allowance Purse $55.000 Open 4 Year Olds And Up.

Tempus Edax (Wolf Ridge Stable) was reigned into fourth early on and soon found himself five lengths back by the first quarter mile. He started to make his move as they worked into the turn and was positioned three lengths back as they straightened out for home. He kicked into another gear and was soon thundering down the stretch, overtaking leader Sword Of Samphire in the final half furlong and blowing right by to win his first race since November 2009.

PHA 6 -- 1 1/16 Mile Turf Allowance/Claiming Purse $48.000 Filly 3 Year Olds.

Shes Demonic(Serenity Stables) wasted no time paying dividends for her new trainer. The 3 year old Demonic Dream sired filly was held back early and positioned at the back of the pack as Cozzene Schmitty and heavy favorite Wild Flirtation battled for control on the lead. The grey filly started to gain a little ground up the inside as they moved down the backstretch and was sitting in fourth as they moved into the final turn. She really started to chew up the ground around the final bend, and soon only had to deal with Wild Flirtation, who had drifted off the rail and left Shes Demonic a hole to go through. Shes Demonic caught up to the heavy favored leader and got a neck up by the wire for her second lifetime score.
