Underwood Grade III
For Three Year Olds And Upward
Going Six Furlongs on the Dirt Course
For a purse of $100.000
at Hollywood Park
on Saturday November 26, 2011

Revelations broke out of the gate to be fourth but only by three quarters of a length as there was a tight pack coming out of the gate.  The opening quarter went in :21 and four fifths.  Jockey Mario Gutierrez moved him up by the far turn to be one of three noses fighting for the lead at the half that went in :44 and one fifth.  Making that quarter a :22 and two fifths.  Into the stretch there was still Tinas Flag, Laughing Face and Revelations battling for the lead.  Revelations was able to shake the other two get up for the win by a nose.  Todays win marks his fifth consecutive win to date.  Todays stake win marks Revelations second Graded Stakes win and moving his career winnings to $294.240.  Revelations is owned and bred by Nakamura Stables.

Tinas Flag was the early pacesetter who set the opening quarter, and the half mile time.  He tried to fight off Revelations and Laughing Face in the stretch, but they continued to fight back.  In the final jump Revelations got up by a nose leaving Tinas Flag to finish second for owner TwinTowersRacing.

Laughing Face  broke third, but by the half mile moved up quickly to get into this chase for the lead.  Tied up with Revelations and Tinas Flag, he got the worse jump in the stretch, and as the other two pulled away would go on to finish third for owner Mb Stables.

Twin Mon pressed the pace in the opening quarter to be second.  After that he would fade quickly to be fourth, and would hang on to that position into the stretch.  Twin Mon finished fourth for owner Dynark Stables.

Southern Picnic broke out of the gate to be sixth, and made a late rally in the far turn to get up to be fifth.  In the stretch he held on to finish fifth for owner Two Hearts One Love.

Fifties Palace broke out of the gate to be seventh, and would not make a move until the stretch.  In the stretch he rallied to get up to be sixth for owner Barcelona Farms.

Mastercraftsman whos owner was looking four his fourth win in this race, was denied that today by Revelations and owner Nakamura Stables.  He broke fifth, and really never got anything going for him, as he faded to be sixth.  In the stretch would fade to finish seventh for owner Unreal Racing.

Cherokee Chicken never was a factor in the race as he broke and finished eighth.

Until next time this is Iwin signing off!
