The beaten favorite that day owner and breeder La Canada Racehorses drops the tag to $28.000 for this one. Adding an extra furlong was out and running in second at the break, as he pulled up on the leader at the top of the stretch he went on bye and went on home to win by 2. Winning in a time of 1:23.53 for the 7 furlongs.

Claiming

Friendly War ~ A winner of two in a row owner and breeder Barcelona Farms tries getting her ready to make it three in a row. Winning against Maiden Claimers and Claimers for $19.000 will take on Claimers for $22.500 in this start. Away second from post three at the break and sitting a half length from the leader, as she bought her time in the lane jockey Garrett Gomez picked her up and got her home to win by a head. Winning in a time of 1:43.86 for the mile and a sixteenth.

Allowance

Simply Excellent ~ Comes out of the Grade II Mrs. Revere at Churchill Downs where she ran off the board running eighth. Now looking to bounce back after running her last five starts against Graded Stakes Company owner Chili King Stables sends her out against Allowance Company. Keeping her on the sod and going off as the favorite was away second at the break, as she turned the corner she took the lead and with the help of Rafael Bejarano she held off the others to win by a neck. Winning in a time of 1:39.77 for the mile and a sixteenth on the sod.

Castle Peak Princess ~ Finished third last time out when shortening up on the sod against N1Xat Churchill Downs. Today owner and breeder Ken Allan stretches her back out and will put her up against State Bred N1X. Away fifth at the break, as she fanned out into the middle of the lane she came on to catch the others and to win by a length. Winning in a time of 1:34.56 for the mile on the sod.
