1 Mile Dirt Maiden Claiming Purse $24.000 Filly 3 Year Olds.
Precision Hunter from Night Mare Racing ran three good races last year but failed to find a win. This year however she has clearly improved as she sauntered away for a three length win from a close stalk in her first attempt at a longer trip. She seems to need this type of trip and this win looked well above your average maiden claiming performance. Elusive Miss was right on the speed but was easily brushed aside when the winner accelerated and could only keep on for second. Lethal Combination stayed on well for third, amazingly her fifth third from five starts.

Mr Brightside from Blushing Meadows recovered from a sluggish start and produced a good turn of foot to win by a comfortable two lengths. Gelded after a close second at TAM he, on this form, should be able to follow up. Plastic Fantastic showed good speed but could not quicken and had to settle for a well beaten second. Chasing Alydar broke fast but faded into third for a good but uninspiring effort.
Race 3 13:15
5 Furlongs Turf Allowance Purse $64.000 Open 4 Year Olds And Up.
Stealth Fighter from Angelos Stable looked the class of the field and very much confirmed that with an easy two length win from the front. Formerly placed in graded company over extreme long distances this five year old showed bags of pace to win this good race over this sprint distance, winning in a good time and in the fashion of a sprinter at heart. Absolute Power started slowly but made ground for second without ever really troubling the winner, holding second by a length from Raise The Bar who just whacked away in third.
Race 4 13:35
1 1/16 Mile Turf Allowance Purse $53.500 Open 4 Year Olds And Up.
Vector Six from Rockitpad Stable made it five wins in a row with a battling win on his seasonal debut. A winner last time out of the HAW Derby way back in October he will surely come on for this run and can be expected to have a big year in front of him. Stalking from the off he battled gamely for a quarter length win and certainly looks to have a good engine in his lightly raced frame. Copper Moon continues to run well without gaining a win and battled on well for another good second in a good looking contest. Vuvuzella made the running but faded back into third seemingly finding this trip a bit beyond him.
The next two races were both black type races and will be covered by the SRF stakes reporters. Jerry Garcia Racing took both the good purses with his TC hopeful Condettieri starting off the year in good style in taking the Holy Bull Stakes.
