Race 1 12:35
6 Furlongs Dirt Allowance/Claiming Purse $57.000 Filly & Mare 4 Year Olds And Up Foaled In FL.

Apple Pie from Dynark Stables has now won six from her last seven after another speedy win at this track. In a close stalk from the off she ran on far too well to score by three quarters of a length and has now won two from two for the stable that bought her for one hundred and five dollars at the end of last year. She improved gradually as a three year old but has now developed into a very nice four year old and it will take a good filly to stop her latest winning streak. Lady Surgeon, a grade two winner herself, made a brave attempt to make all but could not match this classy winner, theres still plenty left with this one though and I am sure she will soon be winning. Ebus Warrior is not slouch but was a little outclassed by the first two a further length back in third.

Race 2 12:55
1 1/16 Mile Turf Maiden Claiming Purse $15.000 Open 3 Year Olds.

Takes My Pain Away from Nightmare racing made some astonishing improvement between her seasonal debut last month and today. Running in the stalk she lobbed away for an easy two length win and was quickly snapped up in what may be a cheap claim for Lanfranco Stable. Clearly needing her January run after six months off she looked very sharp today and is clearly better than a cheap claimer. The Pleasure Is Mine looked much better on the gallops after a nice debut last August and after a gelding operation recently ran an encouraging race in her first effort over ground. Keeping on she looks more than capable and should be breaking her maiden pretty soon. Yaeb made the running until weakening down the stretch and looked as if this trip was too far for him.

Race 3 13:15
5 Furlongs Turf Claiming Purse $37.500 Filly & Mare 4 Year Olds And Up.

Only three went to post for this and in the end there was an easy win for Miss Mah Mahal from Orinoco Stable. Right on the pace from the gate she won by three lengths in a canter and looks set for another good season. Diamond Princess just whacked away in second and never threatened the winner whilst Patty Potato was a disappointing last after fading badly.

Race 4 13:35
7 Furlongs Dirt Allowance Purse $53.500 Open 3 Year Olds.

Naughty By Nature from Big Jd Racing was highly tried as a two year old and ran with merit so it was no surprise to see him run on gamely To take this race by a half length.  Whiskey Parlour was a much improved horse in second, after being gelded at the end of last year, running on well in a good effort.  Chevalier hit the line well in third and should soon be adding to his single win.

Race 5 13:55
5 Furlongs Turf Allowance/Claiming Purse $55.000 Filly 3 Year Olds.

Comet from Robeth Stable was bought for seventy five dollars after her seasonal debut win and quickly backed that up with a game head win in this competitive race. Never far off the strong pace she really dug deep to get up and looks a nice sort for this new trainer. Suspicious Ex  ran on very well to be second and looks as if she is ready to win again soon when given another furlong or two. Castle Peak Princess was third out of the photo finishers after running on the speed but being out finished, she ran well enough to suggest she is returning to her best though.
