Quintis Racings extended his career statistics to three wins for five starts as he scored his first stakes win by a handy two-lengths. He dueled with Nakamura Stables Paisano Phil from the get-go, being headed by that one coming home, only to rally gamely and draw off to a two-length win with nothing more than the threat of the whip and a lot of heart. Deschutes Racings favoured Watch 4 The Sailor lagged far back throughout, started a move coming home and got up for the place in the final strides. Paisano Phil took the lead coming home after a prolonged battle with the winner, continued on with courage and just failed to hold the place. Joseph Racings Barring Tor stalked from mid-pack to the turn home and finished evenly to end up on even terms with Boulevards long shot Lookout Below which trailed to the stretch and closed well late.
