Allowance

 

Bagdad Princess-Finished third in a Starter Alw up at FE on the sod.  Will come to the west coast to face Alw company against open company on the dirt.  She started out in third of the four horse field.  By the far turn she was last.  In the stretch she started to make her move.  It looked like for a moment she might hang, but jockey Bisono was able to keep her going to get her up to win by a length.  She covered the five and a half furlongs dirt in 1:05.06.

 

Optimum Shake-Made a showing in the Chenry Stakes at CNL in his last outing.  Today will face Alw company, and will try to redeem himself.  Garcia in the silks today for trainer Drabfantasy.  Out of the gate they would settle down to be fifth early.  By the far turn they were already on the move to be second, and in the stretch would earn the lead to win by two.  He covered the five furlongs turf in :58.24.

 

Maiden Special Weight

 

Dam Pretty-Finished third in a MSW at CRC last time out.  Today she will face MSW on the west coast.  She started out in third as the field went down the backstretch.  Into the stretch she started to rally to take the lead.  She went on to hold on to win by a neck.  She covered the five furlongs dirt in :59.68 for owner YME Stable.

 

Kills For Kicks-Finished fourth in his last.  Would get out well to be placed third.  He kept close to the lead to take second, and into the stretch would go on to take the lead to win by a head.  He covered the mile turf in 1:37.46 for owner Diablo Diablo.

 

Claiming

 

Knightress Oxide-finished third in an Alw last time out, and today will face $10.000 Cal Bred Claimers.  Sat off the pace early, and made a run for it late.  She made her move in the stretch to get up to win by a length.  In the stretch she met up with Alpha Romeo who sat third most of the trip.  In the stretch these two took off together to finish in a dead heat.  They covered the mile dirt in 1:41.24 for owner Emerald Racing Inc.

 

Trench-Finished third in an Alw last time out.  Today he will drop in for a tag of $6.250.  Sat off the pace, and actually sat the best trip in fifth.  Close enough to strike in the end, and that is exactly what he did to get up to win by two.  He covered the six furlongs dirt in 1:11.23 for owner Nakamura Stables.  He was claimed by Maverick Racing. 

 

Princess Bug-finished sixth in her last on the sod.  She will step up to $10.000 Claimers today against open company, but will return to the dirt today.  Baze aboard for the ride, and took her out to be last.  By the top of the stretch they were still fourth.  In the stretch she made up all the ground to get to the winners circle in a big way to win by five.  She covered the six furlongs dirt in 1:11.77 for owner Manco Segundo.

 

Buck Sweep-Finished fifth against $10.000 Claimers, so today Alberta Rose Stables decided to switch him to the turf and try $4.000 Claimers.  Alvarado took the call for this one, and took him right to the lead to go on to win.  He covered the five furlongs turf in :58.55.

 

York Toberfest-Finished second in a $4.250 Starter Alw in her last start, and her trainer G 2 Racing has decided to take a chance with her and place her in a $16.000 Claimer.  In the early going she was third of the four horse field about two lengths from the front.  The field was tightly packed.  Towards the stretch she came through to take the lead and go on to win by three quarters of a length.  She covered the five furlongs turf in :59.28.

 

Alba Chiara-After the second finishes in $16.000 Claimers her trainer Spongebob decides to drop her in for a tag of $12.500 to see if she can pick up the much needed win.  Martinez was in the saddle, and sat last in the field of four about 5 lengths from the leader from the gate.  In the stretch this duo came on through to get up to win by three.   She covered the mile and a sixteenth turf in 1:43.55.  She was claimed by Canadian Racing.
