Cuts Like A Knife to Slice Them Apart

The Benoit Memorial Stakes has only attracted five runners here to Evangeline Downs Louisiana so here is a low down on my idea on who is going to be at the races with only one a homebred against four auto-gens.

Call Me The Breeze Icegator stables last won here in April in a allowance state race then went to LAD for the Big Earl where he finished a creditable third four lengths behind the winner, strong works puts him in with a chance.

Cuts Like A Knife Sarah Stables been running in very good company for a time now, last won back in March on the turf over this distance in a good time if repeating the runs that he ran back in December in the $150.00 Classic over a further distance and the third he ran in The Schaefer Stakes in May I can not see this one being beaten.

Guy Noir Buxwen Farms you need to go all the way back to July 08 to find the last time this one saw the winners enclosure, been running in low-middle claimers where he has not had any success the best being a third in a $16.00 Claimer beaten by a length the only time he has been in the money in his last eight starts.

Wonder Bug Cajun Stables been running in middle class allowances the last four all being at this track where he has won two of them a second and a third the best over seven furlongs going post to wire by a length, looking at his races he could turn out to be a good router where he seems to run on in the dirt, the one thing that puzzles me is that all those four races he has had Melancon G on board and he is riding his stable mate Shooter.

Shooter Cajun Stables is the second of two starters for this trainer, been running in high class allowances the best one being a Allowance/Claimer at WO over six furlongs turf which he won in good style, entered the Highlander Stakes finishing seventh but only three lengths behind the winner solid runs on turf, started his career over sprints on dirt and did very well unknown over the distance.

 My picks

Cuts Like A Knife to slice these apart with Call Me The Breeze and Wonder Bug fighting it out for the runners up spot.
