It ran to form... The 2010 Longacres Mile (GIII) [BC] seemed to be the perfect venue for Jingle Bells, and it was Christmas in August, as the Australia Wide trained stud made every call a winning one, taking the 1m stakes by a length with jockey R Albarado in the irons. The final time was 1:35 and two.
Breaking quickly and opening a clear lead while racing well within himself, Jingle Bells controlled the pace, getting the half in an unhurried :47 and two, and the 6f in 1:10 and four, then hanging tough in the late going to hold-off Blades Speed Talker. It was two more lengths back to Heavens Memory with Running Down A Dream rounding this one out. Born From A Voucher was a late scratch.

RECAP Jingle Bells sent from the gate, controlled the pace while in hand, steady to the wire, won driving. Blades Speed Talker was taken back after the break, raced in hand to the top of the lane, best foot to late. Heavens Memory stayed close to the pace to the lane, nothing left. Running Down A Dream was never involved.
