Maiden Claiming
Costly Date ~ Finished a length behind in fifth in her last start here at
Del Mar. In that start she was stretched out and moved to the sod for the first time by owner and breeder 5 A Racing. Taking on State Bred Maiden Claimers for $35.000 for the first time and shortening up was up and battling for the lead at the break, as she turned the corner she snatched the lead and went on to win by 2. Winning in a time of :58.28 for the 5 furlongs on the sod.
Ride Or Die ~ Comes into today off a head bobbing finish at MTH. A second place finish in the photo owner Rouge River Stables ships him west. Running for the first time on the sod last time out will stick there and face Maiden Claimers too. Pushed out of the gate and onto the lead by jockey J. Talamo, as the two came into the stretch with that lead they kept the others chasing, as they went on to wire this field by three parts of a length. Winning in a time of 1:42.39 for the mile and a sixteenth on the sod. This one was claimed by owner Angelos Stable.

Bad Intention ~ This tough luck gelding comes into today off three third place finishes and was beat a length in every start. Getting the hood today and dropping in for a tag of $22.500 owner Barcelona Farms hopes this will do the trick and get him back to the winners circle. Last of four at the break and four lengths from the lead, as he turned the corner jockey G. Gomez went to work and the gelding responded by jogging past the competition and on his way to win by 3. Winning in a time of 1:44.20 for the mile and a sixteenth.
Texas Cowgirl ~ Comes out of a third place finish against State Bred oclm for $20.000 at LAD. Shipping out to
Del Mar and moving back to the sod owner Orinoco Stable will drop her in for a tag of $35.000. Out of the gate and sitting in second and a few lengths from the lead, as she hit the straightaway she took the lead and went on to win by 1. Winning in a time of :58.85 for the 5 furlongs on the sod.

Southern Picnic ~ Finished a head behind when taking on State Bred Stakes Company in the $100.000 Real Good Deal Stakes. That race came over the
Del Mar strip and now owner Running Farms will move him to the sod to face oclm for $100.000. Jockey P ( Val ) Valenzuela getting the call again was out and on the lead at the start, as they took that lead into the lane the two fought off the others to hold on to win by a nose. Winning in a time of :56.92 for the 5 furlongs on the sod.

Silent Candy ~ Broke her Maiden in her last start over the sod at AP and will now look to make it two in a row when she faces winners. Moving back to the main track for this start was out and on the lead at the sound of the bell, as she battled on for the top spot into the stretch jockey R. Albarado went to work on her and got her home to win by 1. Winning in a time of 1:09.86 for the 6 furlongs and for owner / breeder Pumpkin Racing.
