            Endine Stakes-Grade III

                  Saturday 8/20/11

                 Delaware Park, DE

Fillies & Mares Three and Up

                  6 Furlongs on Dirt

   Weather: 30% Chance Isolated showers

Saturday the 6th running of the Grade 3 Endine Stakes

will take place at Delaware Park. This year a field of six

will line up for the 6F sprint race over the dirt for a purse

of $150.000. There are three-year-old fillies, in the race,

four-year-old fillies, and one lone five-year-old mare.

That mare is Simply Divine, who is trained by Dynark

Stables, and she looks to have a very good chance

at coming home the winner in the Grade 3 Endine.

Not only is she is the only graded stakes winner in

the field, she is a multiple graded stakes winner, who

has four graded stake wins to her name.

There are a lot of inexperienced fillies in the field who

would love to beat Simply Divine to get their very first

graded stakes win, and a couple could have a shot

at doing just that. We will have to see if the age and

experience of Simply Divine can get her home first in

this short sprint race, or if a younger filly will sneak in

grab the win. It is horse racing, and as we all know,

anything can happen, so be sure not to blink, as this

sprint is going to be a fast one!

Stakes Record: 1:09.95-Stunning Beauty 2009

1   Quick Sting: Trained by Mwn Racing, thisAG filly is

a four-year-old by HRP-Awesome Again and will be

making her 2nd stakes start. This is her first graded

stakes race, and she is looking for her first stakes win.

Coming into the race off of a three and a half month

layoff, and in her last start on 5/5/11 she finished 2nd

at Golden Gate in a $40.000 Allowance, run at 5F over

the dirt. In her only stakes start, she finished 2nd in

the $25.000 Princess of Palms at TUP on 4/9/11 and

that race was run at the Endine distance of 6F on dirt.

-Quick Sting is taking a big step up in class, and she

will need to run a really big race here. Her last two races

she has run early and tired, so the 6F distance here may

be a bit long for her. Breezed 6F over the Golden Gate

     dirt on 7/7/11 in 1:13.30.

2   Queen Mary IV: This three-year-old filly by Foolish King

is trained by Chili King Stables, and will be making her

3rd stakes start, and just her 5th career start and she

is looking for her first stakes win.

Last race was 7/30/11, where she was 4th in the field of

four in the $75.000 Three Rings Stakes for FL State Bred

fillies, run at 1 mile 70 yards on the dirt. Prior to that she

was 5th in the Grade 1 Prioress Stakes, run on 7/4/11 at

the 6F on dirt, the distance of the Endine Saturday. Only

has a maiden win which came on 6/19/11 at this distance

in a $49.000 Allowance at Churchill Downs over a fast track.

-Looks like this lightly raced filly is not quite ready for the

graded stakes level at this time in her career. Her one win

which came at this distance was run in a mediocre time of

1:12.04, against easier company. She may be in a tough

     spot here.

3   Crown Class: Trained by Meat, this three-year-old by

Black Crown, will be running in her 5th stakes race, and

is looking to get her first stakes win.

In her last race on 7/2/11 at Churchill Downs, Crown Class

finished 4th in a $100.000 Optional Claiming race run at

1 1/16 over the dirt. Her last win came last November as

     a two-year-old in a 6F Allowance race over a muddy track.

Her best stakes race finish was on 4/11/11 in the 1 1/16

dirt $125.000 Melair Stakes where she finished 3rd.

-May be a tough spot for Crown Class here. Has not won

in over nine months, and back in June in a graded stakes

race run at 6 1/2 where she finished 4th. However, most

of her recent races have been at 1 1/16 on dirt, and with

her running style she should appreciate the cut back in

distance. Worked 5F over the dirt at WO on 8/1/11 in a

     sharp :58 flat.

4   Coyote Ugly: Trained by Night Rider Stables, this is a

four-year-old daughter of Home Of The Brave, who will be

making career stakes start number 6, and she has one

ungraded stakes win that came in her last start.

Comes into the race after winning the $100.000 Murphy

Handicap run at 6F over the dirt at Arlington Park on

6/25/11. She ran the 6F race over a fast track and in an

impressive final time of 1:09.85. Prior to that, on 5/30/11

Coyote Ugly finished 3rd in the Grade 3 Winning Colors,

also run at this distance at Churchill Downs.

-Coyote Ugly could run a big race here. Comes in with

momentum of her first stakes win in her last start, which

was at the 6F Endine distance, has a 3rd at this distance

in a graded stakes, and seems to really be running well

lately. Worked 5F here at DEL, 8/17/11 in a brisk :58.26.

5   Simply Divine: Trained by Dynark Stables, this mare is

a five-year-old by Jacks Are Better, and she will making

her 24th career start, and her 16th stakes start. She has

five stakes wins, four of them graded, and all coming at

     6  1/2 or 7F over the dirt.

In her last race, on 7/24/11, Simply Divine won a $62.500

Allowance run at 6F on dirt, by one length. Prior to that, she

won the Grade 2  Distaff Handicap, run on 4/16/11 at 7F on

the AQU dirt. All four of her graded stakes wins have come

in the last 13 months, and this mare seems to be getting

     more consistent with age.

-Simply Divine looks like she will be very hard to beat here

in the Endine Saturday. Not only is she the only graded

stakes winner the field, she is a multiple graded stakes

winner, and all of her wins have come near this distance.

Posted an impressive 6F work on 8/4/11, on the Saratoga

dirt in 1:11 flat. My top pick.

6   Kobla: This three-year-old filly by Evil Ransom is trained

by Mshot Stables. Making just her 10th career start here,

this will be her 4th stakes race, and she is looking for her

     first stakes win.

Coming off of a 3rd place finish last time out on 7/30/11 in

the $75.000 Three Rings, run at 1 mile and 70 yards at CRC

for State Bred FL fillies. Her last win came in the race prior

to the Three Rings, on 5/11/11, when she won a $62.500

Allowance race, run at 7F over the dirt at Woodbine.

-Kobla has never run at 6F, but looking at her works, and

running style in recent races, the distance should suit her.

On 8/7/11 she worked a very sharp 6F over the Calder dirt

in 1:10.85, the fastest posted work from any in the field.

Think she could really do well here Saturday, and she is

     one to watch for.

                               Cyn's Picks: 5-6-4
