This race went very much as expected throughout with the front running Princess Boadicea going to the front from the gate and leading through the first corner. Miss Rainbow was in the stalk and closer than normal and Diamond Success and Guided By Angels were a couple of lengths back and keeping the leaders in their sights.

Down the back straight nothing much changed except Guided By Angels was moved up a little and kept off the rail ready to make her move.

Into the final turn and the leader was still there but Miss Rainbow was now pulled out of the stalk ready to challenge and Guided By Angels was moving very well and closing.

With two furlongs to run the leader was now looking vulnerable as Miss Rainbow moved up to give her the eye and Guided By Angels was beginning to fly. By the furlong pole it was all over as Guided By Angels was given some rein and moved effortlessly clear leaving the only race for second place. In that position princess Boadicea was battling gamely and Miss Rainbow was looking anchored by her big weight but keeping on. Diamond success was dropping away.

At the post Guided By Angels had won by an easy three lengths from Miss rainbow who dug deep to get past the long time leader who ran a game race with the outsider last.

Guided By Angels was the class horse in this race and won like it looked like she should. Miss rainbow did well under a big weight and Princess Boadicea ran pretty much the race she was expected to.
