Ringleader's With Sweetness looks to be the clear cut favorite for Saturday's ungraded Lady CBY Stakes, going a mile on the turf course.
Holes can be found in her four competitor's resumes, and an off track could turn the tables on the likely favorite.
Lets take a look at the contestants:
#1 After failing to beat a single foe in her debut, this young filly is bumped way up to Stakes company after a maiden special weight win at lowly
IND in her second start. Her works are not at all impressive at the free track, and she will be hard pressed to keep up here come Saturday.
#2 This young filly is improving and winner of three straight contests, the last being a minor Stakes win in the $75.000 IND Live. He SRF LaRosas are increasing with every race and she looks to be well placed here for a nice check.
#3 The veteran filly of the field here, she has almost as many contests on her resume than her other four foes combined. She won in fairly high claiming company last outing, but may find herself overmatched a bit here. A showing should be a sufficient expectation, as she has just one victory on the turf lifetime.
#4 Red hot early in her career, this filly appears to have gone off form a bit lately. She still possesses some nice speed, but has developed the annoying habit of backing up at the wire lately. AM works are sharp though, and in the small field, a nice check is a definite possibility. An off track increases her chances.
#5 This filly is fast and fit, and if not for the jockey choice, I would be her biggest fan here. With only one race under his belt here at HRP, jockey A Jimenez is facing the toughest jocks at CBY here on Saturday. With three wins and three seconds in seven career starts, yet earnings of only $65.400 at lower end tracks, I am not so sure I need to stay on the bandwagon.
