Stakes

MTA Stallion Auction Stakes

For 3 Year Old Colts and Geldings

Going Six and a Half furlongs on the Dirt Course

Purse $43.000

Winner: Bad Santa

Winning Time: 1:17.59

Trainer: Triple T Racing

(In finishing order)

Bad Santa was out of the gate to run in the middle of the pack fifth. By the half mile he still was only fifth. With only two and a half furlongs to go, started to rally on. He would gain the lead before the six furlong mark, to go on to win it.

Monsoon Rain was in the back of the pack ninth. Really rallied at the top of the stretch to get try and dig in to win. Unfortunately he was so far back that the best he could do was to be second best for owner Corbel Stables.

Mypassion was second throughout most of the race. In the last half furlong, he started to tire and Monsoon Rain was able to prevail to secure second. Mypassion would have to settle to be third for owner Triple T Racing.

Allowance

Pops Forever has won his last two races, both against Alw company, one at FE and the other here. Today will come back to face the same company one more time before the meet closes. He was out of the gate well and racing in fourth. By the half mile he would advance to be third. Throughout the race he would increase his position to finally take the lead in the last few steps to win by a neck. He covered the one mile and a sixteenth turf in 1:42.53 for owner C R Racing. O Sam takes a huge class drop from Optional Claimers $75.000 to $23.000 Alw company. He would be out of the gate fast and missed getting the lead at the first call. He would battle on to take control of the lead by the half mile pole. He would get the lead to finish off the field by four lengths. He covered the six furlongs dirt in 1:10.69 for owner Barcelona Farms. Owner Menace makes a huge move with Bathsheba as he decides to switch her to the turf for the first time in her career. She would prove to like the conditions and the new surface as she stalked the pace to go on to win by two lengths. She covered the five furlongs turf in :58.45. Personality Crisis has not seen a winners circle since last year. She came out of the gate to be in the middle of the pack. She would advance throughout the race kind of slow. In the deep stretch she would rally on to take the lead. Once she got the lead she would explode to win by five lengths. She covered the one mile and a sixteenth turf in 1:44.15 for owner Easy Money Stables.

Maiden Special Weight

Dark Image will try the turf since his debut. This time he will get top jock Bell to take the mount. Bell placed him on the lead where he would wire the field to win by a length. He covered the five furlongs turf in :58.24 for owner Sebonline. Good Times Bad Times finished second last time out here. Today she would keep the same distance and surface. She would stalk the pace and in the far turn take the lead. She would go to pull off a victory by a half a dozen lengths for owner YME Stable. She covered the five furlongs turf in :59.14.

Claiming

Slipstream finished second in her debut, then sent to CBY to race against Maiden Claimers for a tag of $15.000. She would get to the lead at the second call, and she got brave as she kept opening up on the field. She would go on to win by 16 lengths for owner Paco Racing Stable. She covered the one mile and seventy yards in 1:44.30. Summers Cup broke her Maiden last time out, and now will be placed in for a tag of $6.250 for owner Mojica Racing. She sat in third early, and then moved up to be second by the half mile so she would have a better look at the leader. She would rally in the last two furlongs to win by a neck. She covered the six furlongs dirt in 1:13.95. She was claimed by Wolfs Den. Royal Quickstep finished second in a $3.000 Starter Alw at RD last time out, and today drops in for a tag of $4.000. She stalked the pace in third of a three horse field. She would rally to take the lead and open up on the field by eight lengths. She covered the one mile and a sixteenth turf in 1:45.97 for owner Little Puppy Racing.

Until next time this is Iwin signing off!
