A pair of juvenile races were next up on the card for the boys. The opener went to Wynnewood's homebred colt Florsheim. Chased the pace through the opening ¼, bid turn. Headed lead down the lane, dueling gamely. Grinds out the win in a photo.
Juvenile filly Surf Kitten broke sharply from the 6 post and was challenging for the lead around the turn. Much the best late, she wins driving by 3 lengths for Spongebob. Notching her 11th career win in her 30th start was M2 Robbie. The five-year-old homebred mare was last away and quickly down 5 lengths. Turned loose as they hit the end of the back stretch by Kaenel, she was in striking position top of the lane. Under heavy urging through the lane, she just gets up by a nose in a photo.
