Winning his 2nd straight $16.000 claimer was Inner Strength for Team 7 Illusions. Away well from the 6 post he was right off early lead. Strong bid deep stretch heading lead late, gets up by a ½ length.
From the bell it was Lollipopking showing the way as the favorite. Pressed through the opening ¼, he opened up back stretch. Never looked back taking them down the lane clear 5 lengths for connections at Ballydoyle House.
Making her 15th start Kay Pacha breaks through with her maiden in gate to wire fashion for Manco Segundo. Much the best from the ¾ pole on, she was ridden out by 9 lengths.
Recently gelded Buddha Boy gets his maiden at 3rd asking for Pennsville Farm. The sophomore hustled out to the lead under heavy pressure to the lane. Gamely holds off all challengers by ¾ of a length.
Making it two wins on the day for Manco Segundo was chestnut filly Redstar Girl. The short money favorite was on the engine throughout. Never threatened and on cruise control late by 4 lengths for her maiden breaker.
Six-year-old gelding Andys Boy broke sharply from the 5 post holding the short lead under pressure heading back side. Gapped the field 3 far turn and was steady through the wire collecting his 12 career win for connections at Mfm Stables.
Spotting the start was colt Kick It Ruby. Reserved through the ½ mile mark, he got wound up into the far turn under Schvaneveldt. Reeled in lead quickly down the lane, much the best late driving by 5 lengths for Angelos Stable.
Backing up her SA allowance win last out for Hambletonian Stable was Baby Zen. That now makes four straight wins for the Zen Forever filly. Sets all the fractions en route to the gate to wire win, clear by 3 lengths at the finish. She is now 4 of 7 lifetime with earnings of $126.130.
Continuing the front running trend on the day was Precocious Two for connections at Power Play Racing. The favorite broke alertly from the 5 post dueling for the lead spot. Quickly opened up by a length, then continued to steadily increase that margin. Home 3 lengths the best for his 2nd career win.
Claimed two back for $18.000 by Sanny Village, Pele finds the winner's circle for new connections. Shuffled back a length on the rail, he rallied quickly under Alvarado applying pressure into the turn for home. Broke free top of the stretch, goes on by 2 lengths.
In the finale Jennifer Juniper went off as the public's choice. A length back heading to the club house turn, she headed leader near the ½. Gamely dueled into the far turn and down the lane, grinding out the ¾ length win. The Alydar Stables homebred daughter of Wicked Game is now 2 of 6 lifetime with earnings of $42.870.
