The Go For Wand Handicap Grade II
For Fillies and Mares Three Year Olds And Upward
Going a Mile on the Dirt Course
For a purse of $100.000
at Aqueduct Park
on Friday November 25, 2011

Pariah Kite was placed to sit fifth about two and a half lengths from the front in the opening quarter by J Alvarado.  The opening quarter went in :23 and one fifth.  As the field headed into the back stretch Alvarado started to make a move to get Pariah Kite up to be fourth about two lengths from the front for the half in a decent :46 and fourth fifths.  That made that quarter :23 and three fifths.  From there Alvarado would close the gap into the far turn to be a length from the front.  In the stretch Alavarado rallied Pariah Kite, and it became a hand ridden ride after he split Follow Paula and Dirty Kitten in the stretch.  Once pass them he was clear and pulling away to win by five for owner Nakamura Stables.  The time for the mile on the dirt was 1:34.50.  This win here gives her sixth Graded Stakes win in just twenty three starts.  Making her career earnings$1,082.820.

Unique Beauty sat off the pace when the gate opened to be sixth about three lengths from the front.  With Ramon Dominguez having a tight hold on him, would fall back to being last at the half.  As the field turned for the far turn Ramon started to ask for more and Unique Beauty third by a length at three quarters marker.  Ramon would have to go four wide down the stretch and would tangle up with Dirty Kitten in the stretch to finish second in a dead heat with Dirty Kitten.  Unique Beauty is owned by TwinTowersRacing.

Dirty Kitten got out of the gate to be last of them all by three lengths.  As the field entered into the backstretch she was rallied to move up to sixth, two lengths from the leader.  As the field went into the far turn she would rally to get up to be second, and pressing the pace.  Now that she was a quarter of a length from the front, she would rally through the stretch to meet up with Unique Beauty in the stretch to finish second in a dead heat.  Dirty Kitten is owned by Dynark Stables.

Follow Paula showed a lot of early speed as she posted the early fractions thoroughout this race.  Posting a :23 and one fifth opening quarter.  Then she came to the half in a decent :46 and four fifths, a :23 and three fifths.  As the field headed to the far turn she posted a 1:10 and one fifth three quarters of a mile time.  Into the stretch she started to fade to go on and finish fourth for owner Chili King Stables.

Sweet  Chimes was out early and was trying to press the pace early from the third position.  She would hold that position throughout the first half mile.  It was then that she started to fade.  She would finish fifth for owner Barcelona Farms.

Catch The Fever broke fourth from the gate.  She would really never get involved in the race, as that would be her best placement within the race.  She would go on to finish sixth for owner Dynark Stables.

Faithful Warrior pressed the pace early from second place.  She would hold her spot throughout the first four furlongs.  As the field headed towards the far turn she started to fade to go on and finish seventh for owner Maverick Racing.

Until next time this is Iwin signing off!
