Maiden Claiming

Spb Russ ~ A pair of fourths and two thirds in four career starts will move back to the sod as she tries to break her maiden against state bred maiden claimers. Running for a tag of $15.000 last time she will drop in for $50.000 for owner Pocket Aces Racing. Out of the shoot and up to challenge for the lead, as she found herself a nose behind in the stretch she pulled away from her challenger to win by a length. Winning in a time of 1:39.81 for the mile on the sod.

Millan Bay ~ A third place finish last time out and beaten by a half a length in his first try out west will now come back near home for this one. The NJ bred running against maiden claimers for $50.000 last time will run for a tag of $75.000 in this start. Trying the inner dirt for the first time was quickest out of the gate to get the early lead, as he took that lead into the stretch he stayed on cruise control going wire to wire to win by 1. Winning in a time of 1:12.09 for the 6 furlongs on the inner dirt and owner / breeder Rouge River Stables.

Claiming

Venus Warrior ~ Makes her way back to AQU today after finishing third last time out against claimers for $50.000 for owner Dynark Stables. Dropping the tag today to $20.000 and stretching her out to a mile was eager at the start getting out and on the lead, as she had company right from the start and into the stretch jockey E. Prado kept her busy and the two went to the line to win by a length. Winning in a time of 1:39.04 for the mile. This one moves onto new owner Orinoco Stable after the claim.

Dehli Belly ~ A two length winner last time out at MNR over the yielding turf course looks to make it two in a row for owner Mo Mentum Farm. That last tag was for $30.000 and today he will run for $16.000. Out and up to challenge the leaders, as he found himself in a three way battle at the top of the straightaway jockey E. Prado went to work on him and went bye in the final furlong to take this by a length. Winning in a time of 1:42.23 for the mile and a sixteenth on the sod.

Run Around Sue ~ Just missed that last time when taking on state bred claimers for $15.000 here at AQU finishing second and a quarter of a length back. Today owner and breeder Jmg Racing will try her against the same company in this one as she looks to redeem herself. Moving to the inner dirt and getting a rider switch to A. Garcia was out and on the lead at the sound of the bell, as she had company at the top of the lane she held tuff and took this one by a half a length. Winning in a time of 1:11.74 for the 6 furlongs on the inner dirt. This one moves on to new connections, as she was claimed by owner War Paint and goes to the shed after being retired after her race.

Allowance

Kipper ~ A winner in sunny Florida last time out at CRC beating allowance company will look to do it again here at AQU. Adding another furlong today for owner Mb Stables was last of the four starters at the break, as he started to move on the turn jockey M. Berry shook him up and he responded by running past the others on his way to win by 2. Winning in a time of 1:38.49 for the mile.

Top Class ~ Moves back to the sod today after running off the board in her last start at CD. The sod a more comfortable place for her will look to get back to the winners circle against allowance company. Getting out in mid pack at the break and just a length behind, as she weaved her way between horses jockey A. Solis picked her up with a furlong to go to win by a length. Winning in a time of 1:42.76 for the mile and a sixteenth on the sod for owner / breeder Ken Allan.
