Maiden
Alas Bravas ~ A ninth place finish in her debut for owner Rockitpad will look to run better today when she faces state bred maidens here at AQU. Stretching out for this one was explosive at the sound of the bell hustling out to get the lead by two lengths, as she opened it up by four into the stretch the others came running but the filly had something left to hold them off to win by a neck. Winning in a time of 1:40.25 for the mile.
Tastless ~ Ran fifth in his debut at LA for owner and breeder Rouge River Stables and will now add a little more distance and try the inner dirt. Also adding bute and the hood for this one was off to a good start at the break running third and a length back, as he came up to take the lead on the turn jockey J. Castanon did a great job off holding the others in the lane to win by a neck. Winning in a time of 1:11.95 for the 6 furlongs on the inner dirt.
Claiming
Historic Legend ~ Finished a length behind in his last start finishing fourth against claimers for $30.000 at CD and will now travel to NY for the second time in his career. The last time he made it to NY was two starts back and came away with a victory at BEL against claimers for $12.500. Running for a tag of $10.000 in this one was out and tucked behind the leader at the break, as he bought his time into the straightaway jockey M. Berry gave him a tap of the stick and he was gone leaving the others behind to win by 4. Winning in a time of 1:37.32 for the mile and owner Angelos Stable. This one moves on to a new barn being claimed by owner Oncearoudtwice Farm.
St Louis Queen ~ A close second last time out in
Florida against allowance company at CRC. Today owner Axeman sends her up the east coast here to AQU to try the inner dirt course. Dropping back in for a tag today for $60.000 looks to repeat her efforts when she ran last time for a tag when she pulled off a victory at HOL. A half length behind when the doors opened running third, as she fanned wide into the lane she got bye the leader in the final furlong to win by a half a length. Winning in a time of 1:11.05 for the 6 furlongs on the inner dirt.
Starter Allowance
Wrigley Field ~ An impressive winner last time out winning by four lengths against claimers for $50.000 looks to repeat that effort today for a new barn and owner Big Jd Racing. Making his way back to the AQU racetrack for the first time since finishing second in the $65.000 Winkfield will try the inner dirt and starter allowance company. Third at the break and keeping an eye on the front end, as he came up to take the lead on the turn he went on home from there to win by three quarters of a length. Winning in a time of 1:09.99 for the 6 furlongs on the inner dirt.
Allowance
Anticipation ~ Makes her way back to the race track today for the first time since running tenth in the Grade I BC Juvenile Fillies Turf. Taking on allowance company today for owner and breeder Sarah Stables was out to challenge for the lead, as she stayed glued to the leader in the stretch jockey A. Garcia was all out on her and one final surge to the wire she got bye the leader to win by a neck. Winning in a time of 1:42.82 for the mile and a sixteenth on the sod.
