Tough is one way to put it as eight nicely bred Two-year-olds line up for the $100.000 Washington Futurity GIII at
Arlington
Park on September 10 going a mile on the dirt.
Heading the list is the fast improving Righteous who is undefeated in three career starts and was most recently seen crushing rivals in the Vandal Stakes at Woodbine on July 31. Since then he has produced two works since one of which is a bullet work going seven furlongs in a time of 1:23 3/5 on August 31.
Sundance Kid is also in with a good shot as he was runner up twice in Graded Stakes Company and looks poise enough to make a run at the principles. He has been active at exercise but doing more sprinting works maybe his trainer is working on his closing kick.
Don Felipe has also been showing real class especially on his last race in which he won the seven furlong event by two lengths in a fast time of 1:22 1/5, this will mark as his stakes debut. He has been doing well at exercise in the mornings posting mild to moderate work, guess he'll be saving all that running for the race.
Osoto Gari was a clear looser for his stakes debut in the Florida Stallion Stakes Fager when he was eighth by five lengths. Since then he has been really busy producing well improved work times in preparation for this.
Tweetie Moonwalks making his stakes debut has two wins from three career starts, his last being a scorching run in an allowance event going five and one half furlongs in a controlled 1:03 3/5. He has looked good since then and has been very consistent in his works and can definitely cause a stir when this is being decided.
Fruggle making his third start looks a little out classed in this field but has been working well in preparation for this but seems to be out for the run.
Kortright has the experience but not the class at this point in his career and seems better suited for sprinting for now.
Lastly,
Twins
Territory still a maiden has a bit of catching up to do at this point even though he has been working in the class range of these a winning run is still unlikely.
