Pucker Up Stakes draws eight three year old fillies to its Grade III race.  They are going to make a run over one and one eighth mile to a prize of $100.000 on turf.  New Dawn, owned by Yahudi Stables is ready to make her graded stakes debut.  She has won three out of her last four races.  She won the Ny Stallion Series, Liberty against six foes.  One of the fillies she is meeting again in the race, filly Lunar Lady, owned by Dandy Dan Stables.

Lunar Lady had finished fourth in the Ny Stallion Series, Liberty but her three races before the NY Stallion Series she had won.  She did have to carry 124 lbs in that race and in the Pucker she will have three less pounds to carry, 121 pounds.  She also has the additions of blinkers and a shadow roll.

Bag Lunch, owned by Jkk Racing Stables is entered in the race.  She had finished second in The Lake Placid, missing the win by just a head.  Her work outs have been sharp, posting a work out :58 flat on September 8th  5 furlongs on turf.

Two fillies are going to make their stakes debut.  Ashland, owned by Strangefate Stables and Orangebulletday, owend by Chili King Stables.  Ashland has won her last two starts and Orangebulletdays last win was three races ago in a $18.000 claimer.

Entering the race from a third finished in the DMR Oaks Grade I is Helenoa, owned by Ekli Stable.  Helenoas last win was in the Honeymoon Handicap in June.  Since then she has not been much of a threat.

Top Class, owned by Ken Allan will make the attempt to get part of the $100.000 purse.  Her last attempt in a stakes was made in November last year in which she made a poor finished and got in ninth place, losing by four lengths.  Her races afterwards have been a hit and miss for this filly.

Carousel, owned by Samlam won her last race, she is another who has not preformed well on the stakes level but looks to have mature and has posted very good works.  On September 13th she worked a time :57.82 at 5 furlongs over turf and on August 29 she worked 1:35.22 at one mile over turf.  If she can repeat these works in the race she will be in the winners circle on the 17th after running in the Pucker UP Stakes at AP.
