Charming Montjue will face five other rivals in the $100.000 Washington Park Handicap GIII going a mile on the dirt at
Arlington
Park on September 3.
One of the more accomplished runners in the field Charming Montjue returns from a win last time out in the Seagram Cup Stakes GIII and several other runners up placing. He has been exhibiting how good he is during workouts by breezing six furlongs in a tame 1:12 2/5 and by the looks of how he is training could make this an easy go around for him.
A major player in the field however, is Spanish Colony who has been in the best condition of his racing career so far. He has a massed a few runner up placing so far this year and seeks to go one better as he is stepping down in class. Not much from his track works as he likes to save the best for the competition, hands down all eyes will be on him.
Blood Rain and Tensweesh all have had there fair share of wins and loses and today will be no different as only one horse can be the winner and from the looks of past performance neither seem poised to challenge the top gun in the race but Tensweesh has show consistency in the mornings and looks to be the one that will walk away with a piece of the pie, as he looks to be back in form, on the other hand, Blood Rain has been on and off the board in his last few races his most recent was a runner-up placing in a non graded stakes. He is stepping up in class and may find one or more a bit challenging, it is much undecided on what he will produce.
Rounding out the small field is Biggus Dikkus, who has been running in Optional claiming races is taking a huge leap as he will be running in Graded Stakes company for the first time. With that said, he looks to have no shot at the win however, judging by his works he is dead aim on track to possibly do some major damage in this race.
