WRITER NEEDED

The SRF needs a writer to be added to the current roster.

Specifically we will need someone who can work as Field Reporter or Roving Reporter, as needed.

Field Reporters cover daily recaps at the assigned track.

Roving Reporter cover stakes as assigned (without having a specific track).

With exception of particularly busy week-end, Roving Reporter are assigned to a max of 3 stakes/week (which is 6 articles, as each stake needs preview and recap).

You do not need to be an experienced writer, but you do need ability to meet deadlines and a professional attitude; reliability is a must as we need to able to offer timely coverage to the entire schedule of racing at HRP.

Assignments will be e-mailed to you every week-end for the following week.

TOOLS NEEDED

Fluent English

MS Word or other text editor

Basic computer knowledge

Obviously if you are passionate about horse racing, that will be of great help to you.

COMPENSATION

Some compensation will be given on a monthly basis based on production and of course, load of work assigned. However, do not expect a second income from this.

We do it for fun and to offer the HRP community a Newspaper covering the races of this beautiful game.

PS: If several people will apply, we will add those not immediately hired to our Waiting List and they will be called when a position opens.

It is very important that you specify in your submission your ability to write as FR, RR, or both.

Of course, when we say “both”, we mean either one, as you will write either as FR or as RR; you will not cover both positions at the same time.
